A recent graduate of Master of Music in Vocal Performance, Alexandra won her degree with Distinction from the prominent Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in the UK. Prior to that, she graduated from the Bachelor (Hons) Degree at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. Alexandra had been awarded multiple scholarships throughout her studies for her outstanding achievements in both performing and academic abilities.

As a performer, Alexandra was engaged in numerous concerts and operas both inside and outside of school. Her roles include Suor Genovieffa in Puccini’s Suor Angelica, Sœur Constance in Poulenc’s les dialogues des Carmélites, First Lady in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, to list a few.

Her passion in the vast domains of literature, poetry, language, philosophy and arts contributes to an all-rounded understanding in music. Alexandra’s singing in foreign languages is often commended to be exceptionally idiosyncratic by local speakers and singers.

Her recent research on the songs of Schumann and of the philosophy of music was highly praised by music scholars for their sophisticated level of research and complication of ideas.

As an educator, Alexandra believes in the ability of music to nurture good virtues. She aims to pass on her passion, to communicate and connect with students through the means of learning music – beyond mere singing.
